Full description

Spend a memorable half-day with elephants in the peaceful countryside of Chiang Mai. Choose between a morning or afternoon session and enjoy an immersive experience where you can learn about elephants, prepare food for them, feed them, observe their behavior, and spend time with them in a natural environment.

Your journey begins with a pickup from your hotel in Chiang Mai. Travel approximately 1.5 hours south of the city through rural landscapes, agricultural areas, and forested hills before arriving at Chiang Mai Elephant Home.

Upon arrival, change into the provided activity uniform and meet your English-speaking guide. Learn about the elephants, their history, behavior, and daily care before beginning your hands-on experience.

Itinerary

Hotel Pickup in Chiang Mai

Get picked up from your hotel in Chiang Mai. Morning pickup is around 7:00–7:30 AM, while afternoon pickup is around 12:00–12:30 PM.

Travel to the Elephant Sanctuary

Enjoy a scenic drive of approximately 1.5 hours through the countryside and mountains south of Chiang Mai.

Meet the Elephants

Arrive at Chiang Mai Elephant Home, change into the provided activity clothes, and learn about the elephants and their daily care from your guide.

Prepare Food for the Elephants

Help prepare vitamin balls and food for the elephants while learning about their diet and eating habits.

Feed and Interact with the Elephants

Feed the elephants bananas, sugar cane, grass, and other treats while enjoying time with them up close.

Elephant Mud Spa

Join the elephants for a fun mud spa and observe how they naturally enjoy cooling themselves in the mud.

Bathe the Elephants in the River

Walk with the elephants to the river and help bathe and gently brush them in the water.

Visit the Waterfall

Head to a nearby waterfall where you can swim, relax, and enjoy the surrounding nature.

Enjoy a Thai Lunch

Enjoy a traditional Thai buffet lunch with fresh fruit. The meal timing may vary between the morning and afternoon sessions.

Return to Chiang Mai

After the experience, travel back to Chiang Mai and enjoy drop-off at your hotel.
